Just Sitting Tight

WOW that cold front yesterday was really weird. It hit like most do with strong winds preceding it, a bit of rain – actually a lot of rain, and then just disappeared.. No wind.. The forecast was for strong winds last night and today and – nothing. It was a mill pond here this morning and winds less than 10 kts all day!! However it has been cooling down all day and the high tomorrow is only expected to hit 65 degrees – Brrrr.

Not much happening today. I’ve been “recalled” to do some consulting work for a Telco in NY City so that has occupied most of the day. Got to love that wireless internet.

Karen did the laundry and I did put in an hour polishing some stainless on the boat. Very little Teak on this boat but lots of Stainless.

We did hear on the VHF an episode of cruisers at their best. A boat hailed the marina here for a mooring assignment. Explained that their boat had lost its engine – oil pressure alarm – and they were pulling it with their dinghy. They wanted an easy raft-up since only one person was onboard and the other in a dinghy.

One of the boats here Lady Galadriel called the other boat and offered to help with their dinghy. That is cruising at its best – helping and expecting nothing in return.
