Ready, Set, Another Cruise begins

Yes we are finally ready to go. Back to the BAHAMAS!

Hurricane Matthew spared us in the New Bern, NC area. We can be thankful for that. Unfortunately places like Goldsboro and Kinston are dealing with massive flooding -- actually worse than what occurred with Floyd in 1999. I feel very sorry for those folks. It is hard to explain but tragedies like tornadoes and severe storm damage is nothing compared to flooding. Flooding just comes on you and you are powerless. You can see it coming and all you can hope for is that you can get out of the way. The affects will be with you months.

Now on the pleasant side -- the boat is provisioned, fueled, watered, and ready to go. Tomorrow morning we will take the dock lines in and head for our next adventure. We plan on "baby" steps at first to get our sea legs back and build confidence in the boat. Probably a late morning departure for Cedar Creek, then a couple of days in Spooners Creek so I can dive on the boat in relatively clean water to replace zincs and scrub what is needed, then we will take the trip in earnest and make tracks.

We plan a slow trip to Florida, a couple of weeks in Florida, and then cross to the Bahamas for 3 -4 months. We hope to be in Green Turtle Cay Abacos for Christmas and then after that -- wherever the spirit moves us.

In addition to checking my position reports you can also track my via AIS http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/shipid:441477/zoom:10

Wish us Bon Voyage.
